Just a recent photo. Any opinions? I’ve been trying to see new things during otherwise boring walks to and from work every day. I used Lightroom (one of my favorite innovations ever for photography) to add a lot of “clarity” and selective saturation. I also darkened the sky for mood and added the deep vignette.

I like the detail of the sidewalk. It compliments the dark sky.

This is really interesting. Half of one’s brain looks at the scene and says “boring, pedestrian”, but the other half of the brain says “Whoa, hold on!”. There’s *something* about this image that just grabs you, but I can’t place a finger on it. The mood, the contrasts, the colors… something. It’s got “punch”, whatever that is. It’s interesting and somewhat unnerving that I can’t put my finger on it.
