Thank you! I have spent quite some time tweaking Lightroom myself, and your preset was an improvement of the ones I had managed myself. I changed the tone curve a little to get a bit more contrast. Nice work!

I've updated the link to go to a ZIP file with the preset inside, which should make it simpler to download in the future.

PS - I was able to take the Camera Calibration numbers (related to your preset) listed in the Nikonians forum, and create a new preset using those numbers.

Jon - I did the save as and got it to my desktop. However when I went to User Preset, Import, it was greyed out from the list of items on my desktop.

When I click on "download", I get a long list of numbers that is on another website-like page. How do I install this to Lightroom? (When I download Matt Kloskowski's presets, they download to my Desktop with an icon to import.)
Thanks, John

Thanks much for the compliment. I'm glad it's of use to others. This preset is the result of 3 or 4 revisions, and it's the best I've managed so far to get a natural look out of the D300 in Lightroom.

Hi, Jon,

Just wanted to thank you for this preset. I just got a D300 and have been trudging through calibration scripts, in search of a calibration that gives a balance between good skin tones and accurate colors elsewhere. It seems to me that the default profile in Lightroom is way off. Skin tones are washed out, and saturated blues blow out so quickly it's ridiculous. My calibration scripts were giving better colors in clothing, but skin tones were too red in some cases. Yours does better with skin tones than anything I've made or found so far. You've obviously got a feel for how to adjust the calibration controls -- something I'm still getting the hang of.

Keep up the good work, and thanks so much for sharing it!

Peace,
Dirk
